Cough Cough - What's Up With All This Dust?

Oh yea, I'll tell you what's up - it's been FOUR YEARS since i posted an entry. Don't blame me now folks, but I kind of forgot that this website existed. Haha! But my sister reminded me of it recently and so I thought I should take another leap at the ol' hurdle, if you know what I mean. Now, it is 11:45 at night, and so my first leap will relatively miniscule, but at least I made an effort, right? Ok, so bands, bands...what have I been listening to lately? I've got to tell y'all, I'm not as big a fan of Japanese music as I used to be (in fact I rarely listen to it AT ALL), but Koreans still hold a special place in my heart :) When it comes to music, movies, and dramas, I find that their style simply can't be beat. So let's start with:

BIGBANG

HaruHaru was the first song I ever heard by this group, and it has remained my favorite.

Members: Seungri, G-Dragon, Taeyang, T.O.P, Daesung

G-Dragon, bless him, needs to wear less eyeliner most always, but he has a lovely high voice that stands out beautifully when tied in with T.O.P.'s bass. I've never really been interested in the other members - they don't really stand out to me.

God, it was just way too hard to find a picture of them where they all looked decent - as you can tell, I just gave up ;)

T.O.P. is on the far left, G-Dragon on the far right. Oh! I forgot about Taeyang - he's definitely my favorite after T.O.P. looks-wise. Check out Where U At, Wedding Dress, or I Need a Girl if you want some solo-Tae.

G-Dragon solo: Butterfly is my fav by him, but I just can't get over how fake his white hair looks :S some men can pull it off, and others....you just look gay, bra. Sorry <3

All in all tho, I enjoy these fellas. They generally have good style, but some of their songs (Dirty Cash) are rather cringe-worthy.

Up next, my all-time favorite K-group: SHINee - these gorgeous and charismatic boys have stolen my heart!! Also: updates on DBSK (they broke up!! D:) and the introduction of my love for female K-groups (esp. Girls Generation, 2NE1, and Miss A).

Tokio Hotel

Now I know I said this was a LJ for asian music, but this will probably be one of may acceptions.  Because, ya know, it's TOKIO HOTEL!!!

These guys are my new love.  They are a German band.  Their members are Bill and Tom Kaulitz (my icon is of Bill.  He is the hottest thing since toaster strudels.  He is a dreamy, beautiful, GOD!  I'm getting a bit carried away here.  he he.  Anyways, Bill and Tom are twins.)  They are 18; 19 on September 1st.  There is also Gustav Schäfer, 19; 20 on September 8th, and Georg Listing 20.  His B-day is March 31st.

Bill is the lead singer, Tom is the guitarist, Gustav is the drummer man and Georg plays base.  My fav songs of theirs to date (I only found out about them today!!) are 'Spring Nicht' (Don't Jump), 'Ubers Ende der Welt' (Ready Set Go) and 'Monsoon' English version.  I thought that since they were young and pretty their music wouldn't be that good, but not-so-surprisingly it's really good!  The rock band was originally called Develish, but changed their name when they were discovered by Peter Hofmann.  'Tokio' is the German word for the city Tokyo, which is a city the band loves.  'Hotel' is for the travelling and staying in hotels the band does.  All in all I'd give the band 4.5 German hotties out of 5. lol  They are a fairly new band.  Their first concert was on June 19, 2007.

Here is some more pics to please my loving fans (or theirs)

Hellooo

Sorry I haven't updated in a while.  I've been sooo busy.  I got a job at ye olde Extra Foods and they are working my fecking ass off.  I am TIRED!  And also I have this wierd joint pain in my hands.  Probably because I played about 10 hours of guitar in the course of 4 days.  And one of the days I didn't even play.  The icon to-day is Lee JunKi.  He is, how you say in English (for he is Korean, you see)  hotness on a stick.  This would be %100 the truth if he was, in fact, on some sort of stick.  He is not, however, so we will have to make due with calling him 'Hotness in a Little Box on the Right Side of My Screen'!!!!!  He is famous for his absolutely superb, heart-wrenching, stupendously awesome (I like the movie) movie called The King and the Clown.  It does have a wee, teensy bit of homosexuality in it, but everyone:  PLEASE, if you DON'T LIKE, just BECOME HETEROFLEXIBLE in your viewing sense.  Because this is way too good a movie to pass up.  You can watch it on www.dailymotion.com I believe.  Lee plays a character named Gong Gil, and I am WAY too tired to explain the movie, so PLEASE just watch it.  It's gud, I swears.  He is so pretty. ^^

Well, until we meet again and the case is solve-ed.  (Jacque Cluseau, awesomeness extraordinaire, land of the Pink Panthers)

Miss Me?

Hey Livy palsz, whoever you may be (there probably aren't that many but I forgive you :P).  I haven't updated in a while.  I've been either busy/lazy/both.  Sorry!  Now that I've finally updated I regret to say I am going to be away again (!!! geez) for a week.  It is my Grandpa's 90th birthday on Saturday and I will be spending a week setting up at his and my Grammy's acerage.  We plan to have 1 caterer, 125 guests, and 200 balloons.  Yes, yes, we overdid it on the balloons a touch, but do not fret, for my darling mother has prevented my death at a supple young age due to lack of oxygen by buying me an ELECTIC PUMP!!!!  Yes, yes, and once more yes!  My frail youth has not been slashed to weeping bits of soggy, lifeless paper.  (whatever that means lol)

So I'll just be there setting up, cleaning, lifting heavy things for Grandma, taking care of guests who come early to visit in their giant campers.  I mean there is going to be ALOT of people.  And ALOT of cups of coffee.  Imagine the size the cake will have to be.  I get dizzy just thinking about it.  Ah, the life of sad me.  But what can you do?  To quote a famous idiot, my dad, "Life sucks and then you die.  Deal with it and get back to work."  He really says this to me.  Sniff.

By the way, the picture today is of some guy from Alice Nine.  I am a new fan, so I have yet to learn their names properly.  I will go check darling wiki now.  It's one of these guys --Shou, Hiroto, Tora, Saga and Nao-- but not Shou, cuz he's the lead singer.  I know that much at least, jeez.  Why must you poeple constantly harsh my mellow.  jk

Well,  I will catch you on the flip side, for we are two tripping peas in a far out pod. man.  (say in monotonous voice for umph)

Kat-tun

The icon today is... Miyavi!! Again.  He is just so damn photogenic.  I've got like 3.72 billion pics of him.  They're just gonna keep'a comin'!

So today is Kat-tun.

KAT-TUN  The group's name is an acronym formed by the members' surname initials.

Japanese band.  I personally think they are a little too Backstreet Boys/ Nsync for me.  I like their song Real Face though. (It was their debut song in 2006)  Very well done.  Lots of people love them, and I can't say they shouldn't.  Everyone has preferences, and I'm gonna do them all. (Hopefully!)  The members are :

  • Kamenashi Kazuya, 亀梨和也, age 21 (nickname Kame)
  • Akanishi Jin, 赤西仁, age 23 (known as Jin)
  • Taguchi Junnosuke, 田口淳之介, age 22 (Junno)
  • Tanaka Koki, 田中聖, age 22 (Koki)
  • Ueda Tatsuya, 上田竜也, age 24 (Tat-chan)
  • Nakamaru Yuichi, 中丸雄一, age 24 (Yucchi, Nakama, or Maru)

All the members have been in commercials and television dramas.  Jin and Kame played the roles of two students in Gokusen 2.  Kame and Koki were in the drama Tatta Hitotsu no Koi.  Kame also was in the drama Nobuta wo Produce with Tomohisa Yamashita and Maki Horikita.  Tomohisa sung the opening theme song for the show, a very good song called 'Daite Senorita'.  The individual members have also done many other shows.  They are budding actors with lots of talent!  (BTW, the shows I used are ones I've all seen. lol.  They're really good though.  You should also watch Kurosagi with Tomohisa.  Very good show.  It has Maki Horikita in it.)

Well that's all for now.  Bai!

Who is this?

Ok!  I just wanted to put this icon in because I thought it was um, GORGEOUS.  I think it is of Rose because under where I saved it it says 'trax' at the bottom.  I'm not sure tho.  Oh well.  I like the blue.  I've got 3 exams left, just finished one today.  Came home, had some ramen, some chocolate, the usual. lol.  Now on to the actual entry.

Ziexx!!!

God there's alot of pics this time.  Cheez!  The live journal account person-delio named zeixx is my big sis!  She is in my friends page!!  If you read it, it says I applied to subway to work.  Yay!!  My first job.  I hope I get it.  I mean who wouldn't want a mature, loveable angel working at their fav food place?  Who, I say?

Kay!  Today's icon is the loveable Hero JaeJoong from DBSK. (also know as DBSG, TVXQ...)

Kay.  Here are my favies for DBSK:

Voices:
1. Max Changmin
2. Hero JaeJoong
3. Xiah JunSu
4. Tie between Uknow YunHo and Micky Yoochun

Looks:
1. Hero!! (I like the pretty boys.  So sue me.)
2. Uknow
3. Micky (especially in the DBSK music video 'Triangle' with Boa and the Trax)
4. Tie between Changmin and Xiah

Also, for some strange reason (I don't know why) my favorite member is probably Micky.  I guess just because he is really deep and sweet.  If you watch this thing called DBSK's TTY (Talk To You) Micky version on YouTube you will see what I mean.

Introducing...*drumroll please*...DBSK

Left to Right: Xiah, Micky, Hero, Max, Uknow

DBSK - 'Dong Bang Shin Gi' means Rising Gods of the East

DBSK is a Korean band composed of five members specializing in the areas of dance, acappella, acting, and pop.  They debuted in 2004 with their first song 'Hug'.  'The Way You Are' and 'I Believe' followed.  They are a very choreographed band with syncronization in their steps and music.  Their song types vary, but are all enjoyable.  My favorites are 'Triangle' and 'Rising Sun'.  You should give them a listen.  The members are :
-Xiah Kim Junsu (김준수)  JunSu named himself Xiah as an abreviation for Asia, to show his desire to be popular in not only Korea, but all of Asia and expand from there.  Xiah is pronounced Shee-ah.  Xiah is a baritenor for DBSK.

-Uknow Jung Yunho (정윤호)  The leader of DBSK.  U-know is pronounced "You know" in English. However, it is meant to mean "Yunho 'Knows You'" in regards to understanding the other members as their leader.  Uknow sings baritone for DBSK.

-Hero Kim Jaejoong (김재중) He debuted under the name a fortune teller foretold years before: YoungWoong JaeJoong (영웅재중). YoungWoong means "hero" in Korean, hence his international name, Hero.  JaeJoong is the main vocal of DBSK.

-Max Shim Changmin (심창민)  Being 19, Max is the youngest member of the group while all the others are 21.  Max, like Hero, was chosen for TVXQ for his talent as a singer.  Max is a tenor in DBSK.

-Micky Park Yoochun (박유천)  Micky was chosen as a final member for DBSK one month before their debut.  Micky lived in the state of Virginia for roughly four years.  His nickname in America was Micky.  Micky sings bass-baritone.

The one on the left is from the video 'Triangle'.  Watch it.  That is an order. lol

DBSK has done several bajun dramas and each member has done several solo projects.  Xiah has also sung the Korean version of 'Timeless' from the movie From Justin to Kelly.

Whelp!  That's all for now.  S'later.

The Trax

Huuu.  I'm almost over this crap cold I've had for 2 weeks.  Ok!  So today's pic is of Rose, the former member of The Trax.  Rose!!!  He is so gorgeous.  His real name is No Min Woo.  So on the the band.  It is... You guessed it. The Trax!!!!

(from left to right - Attack, Rose, Typhoon, X-mas)

THE TRAX

- Typhoon of the Rose Attack on Xmas.  The name also stands for 'recording tracks'.  They are a Korean band.

The Members are:  Typhoon - Jay Kim
                                    Attack - Kang Jung Woo
                                   X-mas - Kin Jung Mo
(former member)  Rose - No Min Woo

On May 10, 2006 Trax announced on their official website that Rose would leave Trax to pursue other interests.  My favorite song of Trax is Paradox.  It is the best song in the world I have to tell you.

Interesting facts about Rose:  He plays the piano, guitar, drums, and cello (maybe). I think that's it.  He was born May 29, 1986.  He's only 21!! fer crying out loud.  What a guy.  He' done modeling, been in an awesome band...  He is currently the guitarist for the underground four-member rock band "The Romantist".   He attends Seoul Art College and studies art.

           Blonde Rose!!!                                                                                              Black Rose!!!

First Entry!

Hey gang!!!  I just spent like 2 hours finding icons so I'm all set.  You can expect a new one every day.  They are all of hot Hot HOT guys, and a few girls.Yay!!  This one is Miyavi ,if you didn't know.  I will try to post who the icon is every time, but Boo, sometimes I don't know who it is. Sorry.  But if you know, go ahead and post it! b=(>.<)=d  And I'm REALLY sorry I can't credit anyone, but I don't know who made any of these.  Whoever did tho, you are very talented and thank you for letting me use your icon!!

So this is my very first entry.  Yeah!!!!!!!  Now that I'm done with that.  First band/singer.

MIYAVI!!!
A Japanese musician.  Genius on guitar.  It is utterly amazing to watch.  He's very light and happy, like a little kid, but can be serious when he tries.  He has a bunch of good songs.  My fav is 'Itoshii Hito' but not the recorded one, the 2003 live performance of it at the Beautifool's Fest.  Type in Miyavi - Itoshii Hito.  It is posted by damageddoll.  Very good sad song.  But seriously.  The slappy thing he does is A-MAZING.  Yay myv. <3
